ChatGPT
Add Sallyport to ChatGPT in developer mode and sign in, with no token to copy.
ChatGPT connects to a remote MCP server by signing in. Developer mode is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts on the web.
Connect it
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
- Open ChatGPT Plugins, press the plus button and create an app for a remote MCP server. Paste
https://mcp.sallyport.cloud/mcpand choose OAuth. - Sallyport opens in your browser: sign in, or create an account. The consent screen shows “Verified domain” with chatgpt.com and “Published by OpenAI”. Press “Allow”. If ChatGPT is already connected, the screen is shorter and the button reads “Reconnect”.
- In a chat, choose Developer mode from the plus menu and select the app.
What the app gets
Pressing “Allow” creates an agent named after the client. An owner’s or admin’s agent starts with every connection of the workspace. A member’s agent starts with none, and an admin adds them under “Access”.
To cut ChatGPT off, open Settings, Connected apps and press “Disconnect” in its row. Its calls stop at once.
Two different confirmations
ChatGPT asks you to confirm a write action before it calls the tool. That check is ChatGPT’s own. Sallyport marks its _read tools read-only, so ChatGPT runs them without asking.
Sallyport asks a person where you turned asking on or set a budget. A waiting call comes back with approve_url and call_id. Answer the card, then tell ChatGPT to continue: it repeats the call with that call_id.
The first time a person connects ChatGPT, every owner gets a notification with a link that disconnects it. Signing in again later takes one “Reconnect” click and notifies nobody.
